Some really good things about Microsoft's
Enterprise Project Management system
#6: On-line
support is great and it is free. Plus Microsoft has provided a
very large amount
of free content for Project Server 2003 and
Project Server 2007. We find
these two areas
especially valuable. First the discussion group
(see
http://www.microsoft.com/office/community/en-us/default.mspx?lang=en&cr=US&dg=microsoft.public.project
).

Tag: If you have a
question about Microsoft Project select General
Questions. Questions about Project Server
2003 and Project Server 2007 functional or business administration select
Server.
We do not understand why people would spend
their time answering questions online for free
(we know they must get some business leads but their
effort is enormous) when they could be playing
Xbox with their kids or volunteering down at the
soup kitchen, but whatever their reasons
we think they are a pretty good bunch of people and
many appreciate their work. Second, the on-line documentation
for 2003 is quite
good (see
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/projservadmin/HA101714291033.aspx
). We are not sure who wrote this, but our hats
are off. We are sure the documentation for 2007
will catch, perhaps by SP1 which is about the
time people should think about moving over if
they think Project Server 2007 value justifies
the cost.
